The Advanced Semiconductor Manufacturing Conference 2023 (ASMC) conference is underway this week in Saratoga Springs, New York.
ASMC brings together manufacturers, equipment and materials suppliers, and academia to solve manufacturing challenges with innovative strategies and methodologies. It is the leading international technical conference for discussing solutions that improve the collective manufacturing expertise of the semiconductor industry. Solving the challenges presented by semiconductor manufacturing is a combined effort by device makers, equipment and materials suppliers, and academics.
Although minds.ai is not attending in person this year, you can find our latest work on processing time modeling being presented by our collaborators from Ecole des Mines de Saint-Etienne on Thursday, May 4th. At the ‘Big Data, Automation and Analytics 2’ session, Assistant Professor Valeria Borodin and Professor Claude Yugma will present “Granularity of Processing Times Modeling in Semiconductor Manufacturing”. During their presentation they discuss the issue of data fragmentation when modeling the processing times associated with a Chemical Mechanical Planarization machine. They are presenting how advanced data analytics can be used to process a large amount of data and how, in the future, the results of this modeling approach can be used to improve the scheduling of large scale wafer manufacturing.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions about this modeling or scheduling work. If you are attending the conference in person then we encourage you to connect with Valeria & Claude directly to find out more.
The paper will be published in the ASMC Special Section of IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing.
